On today’s show, the organizers behind the Freshwinds Eco-Village Housing Co-operative are hosting an information session on their project next Monday (June 9, 7pm, at Sackville United Church). And last week, Tantramar Mayor Andrew Black told council he and senior staff met with Freshwinds members to discuss a misunderstanding around the co-op’s request for municipal support, and council’s resolution ruling out an application to a federal housing fund to help pay for infrastructure for the project. Black said after the meeting the municipality issued a new letter of support for Freshwinds.Â

- Tantramar staff are looking to relocate and return some of the banners on display at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre, to make way for an interior wall mural.
- After a successful extended spring ice season at the Civic Centre, Deputy Mayor Matt Estabrooks asked about the possibility of keeping the rink in place 12 months a year, but Active Living director Matt Pryde said he would not recommend it.
