On today’s show, Tantramar council has voted to move ahead with the addition of 27 LED street lights to rural intersections in former Local Service Districts of the municipality. While the ‘council initiatives’ budget will cover the 2025 costs for the new program, it’s not yet known how NB Power rental and electricity costs will be covered in 2026 and beyond.

- Councillor Debbie Wiggins-Colwell is hoping that Shep the Sandpiper in Dorchester village square can get touch-ups before this year’s Sandpiper Festival from August 8 to 10, but a plaque for the bird, first requested in November 2024 by the sculpture’s owners, the Fundy Biosphere Region, has yet to be installed.
- The Dorchester Farmers Market is moving from Sundays to Thursdays. The market will take place at the Dorchester Veterans Community Centre this Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.
- Premier Susan Holt will be answering questions from New Brunswickers in the first of a new monthly livestream series this Thursday at 10am.
