Police in southern New Brunswick have arrested a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 21-year-old man in a bathroom stall in July.
The Saint John Police Force says that on July 8th, officers were called to a business on Union Street in Saint John, where the allegation was made.
Investigators say that on October 15th, a 54-year-old man was arrested by the Oromocto R-C-M-P.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 9th to answer to the charge. (The Canadian Press)

New Brunswick says it wants to amend the Wills Act to modernize it.
The Liberal government’s tabled legislation puts forward changes that would lower the minimum age someone can write a will from 19 to 16.
The tabled legislation also says that marriage would no longer revoke an existing will and common-law partners would be treated the same as married spouses. (The Canadian Press)

A Halifax youth facing child pornography charges for allegedly being involved in an online extremist group has a court date this morning.
Halifax police accuse the youth of being a member of an international extremist group that coerces children into harming themselves and engaging in sexual activity on camera.
Chief Don MacLean says the accused had conversations with hundreds of young people around the world on an online group called 764 — a subgroup of the larger Com Network.
The young person, whose identity, gender and age have not been released by police, is scheduled to have a plea and election hearing today in youth court. (The Canadian Press)

Nova Scotia R-C-M-P are investigating a pickup truck crash that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man.
The Mounties in East Hants say that on Monday night, the pickup driver died when the vehicle left the road in East Uniacke and hit a utility pole.
Police did not identify the victim, but their confirmed he was from Mount Uniacke.
He was the only person in the vehicle. (The Canadian Press)

Police in Newfoundland have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of abducting his young daughter and taking her to Egypt.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says that on September 27th, investigators were told the five-year-old had been taken out of Canada by a person known to her.
The police force issued a statement yesterday saying the two are believed to be in Egypt.
The 36-year-old father is wanted for abduction and contravening a custody order. (The Canadian Press)
