Indigenous People’s Day Geocaching

June 1 @ 8:00 am June 30 @ 8:00 pm

Celebrate National Indigenous People’s Day all month long with an interactive geocaching event! You can celebrate the local Indigenous community by taking a stroll through the Medicine Trail at Amlamgog and fill out passport sheets for a chance to win $100 in Indigenous goods.

Geocaching is a recreational activity where you search for objects hidden across a set area using posted GPS coordinates. This specific event can be done through the GEOCACHING app. Passport sheets can be picked up at the Sackville Town Hall, Gitpu Gas Station, or by scanning the provided QR code and printing a physical copy.

The geocaching event started June 1st and will run until June 30th. On June 3rd is the deadline for passport submissions and June 6th is the prize draw. The starting location is the Medicine Trail head just beside the Fort Folly Habitat Recovery Centre on 88 Bernard Trail.
