SFS: Once upon a time in a Cinema

As a part of Sackville Film Society, join for a new film at the Amherst Theatre on October 15 at 7:30pm. This week’s movie is Once upon a time in a cinema by David Gleeson:

Set in 1980s Ireland, Once Upon a Time in a Cinema follows Earl Clancy (Colin Morgan), the owner of a struggling small-town cinema, during one chaotic Friday-night screening. As unruly customers, technical problems, financial pressures, and other disasters threaten to overwhelm him, Earl also considers selling the cinema to a shady politician. Over the course of one unforgettable evening, he must decide whether to let go of the cinema that has shaped his life or fight to preserve its place at the heart of the community.
