SFS: Rose of Nevada
October 29 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
As a part of Sackville Film Society, join for a new film at the Amherst Theatre on October 29 at 7:30pm. This week’s movie is Rose of Nevada by Mark Jenkin:
In a struggling Cornish fishing village, the Rose of Nevada – a boat that disappeared at sea with its crew 30 years earlier – mysteriously returns. Nick, a fisherman trying to support his family, and Liam, a drifter seeking a new beginning, join its crew. After setting out to sea, they return to find that something has changed: they have travelled back in time and are mistaken for the original crew. As Nick confronts the past and the tragedy that shaped the village, he must decide whether to change the future at the cost of losing his own life as he knows it.
