The Great Canadian BioBlitz 2026

Have you ever wondered about the biodiversity of Sackville parks? From plants and mushrooms to birds and other animals, there is so much to explore. And this week, the mount allison iNaturalist Club and friends are hosting a “bioblitz” (a short, intensive biological survey) to walk you through it.
Today through till Friday, September 25, the group is offering free, guided tours across several parks in Sackville. On these themed walks, guides will share their knowledge about the flora, fauna and other biodiversity features of these parks, and connect participants with the iNaturalist site and app.
This is all happening as part of the Great Canadian BioBlitz 2026. Tours are open to anyone who is interested, and all are welcome. For more details, check out the poster or message the group via their @ inatmounta page.
