SUMMARY:Trees for Tantramar
DESCRIPTION:Please join for a volunteer tree planting event at Beech Hill Park to celebrate National Forest Week. \n\n\n\nThey will work together to plant 250 trees and 100 shrubs; including placing mulch around each tree and installing tree guards to protect them from animals. \n\n\n\nThe event will take place on Saturday\, September 26\, 2026. Registration and refreshments will start at 9:30am. The tree planting itself will run from 10am-12pm. \n\n\n\nThey will have shovels and gloves available\, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer. Please wear closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals). Dress according to the weather as the event will go rain or shine. Bring your own water bottle. SUMMARY:Amlamgog 4th Annual Youth Mawiomi
DESCRIPTION:The Amlamgog 4th Annual Youth Mawiomi is taking place on September 26th at the Dorchester School. Grand Entry starts at 12pm with everyone welcome to attend. \n\n\n\nThis fantastic yearly event encourages Indigenous youth to embrace their cultures and to show everyone their dancing skills. The Mawiomi has a mixture of dances for the competitors as well as dances for the public to participate in as well. There will be many Indigenous vendors on site as well with plenty of goods to be purchased. \n\n\n\nEVENT ON FRIDAY\, SEPT 25 \n\n\n\nFriday\, September 25th will have the Friday Night Social at the Dorchester Veterans Community Centre (4955 Main St.\, Dorchester). DESCRIPTION:Join Tantramar Active Living and Culture on Saturday\, September 26th at 7pm for a short presentation and unveiling of the works created by this summer’s Sackville Waterfowl Park Artist in Residence\, Jacob Puffer. \n\n\n\nWater To A Fish explores the portion of the Waterfowl Park’s landscape which exists beneath the water’s surface. This perspective brings a vital-yet-underconsidered cross-section of our environment into equal\, holistic view\, presenting it through the use of alternative photographic processes as a liminal site whose depth is greater than we realize.
