DESCRIPTION:Zoomers is a free community program for and by adults aged 50 and over. It is a simple\, beneficial exercise class meant to empower older adults to live an active life with confidence. Through Zoomers\, you can participate in a free class\, meet your community\, and improve your balance and reduce the risk of falls. \n\n\n\nThis program will be taking place every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM at the Dorchester Veterans Community Centre. DESCRIPTION:Regular Council Meetings \n\n\n\nThe Regular Monthly Council Meeting occurs on the second Tuesday of the month with a 7:00 p.m. start time in the Municipal Office Council Chambers at 31C Main Street. The Regular meeting is also a public meeting and is the opportunity for Council to conduct their business. \n\n\n\nRegular Council meetings are also open to the public to make a presentation to Council. Interested individuals / groups are asked to submit a written request to the Clerk’s Office no later than 7 calendar days prior to the meeting date in order to be confirmed for a five (5) minute presentation at an upcoming agenda subject to availability. Tantramar will make every effort possible to accommodate requests in a timely manner. \n\n\n\nMembers of the Public wishing to address Council with no previous registration may register with the Clerk’s Office prior to the agenda approval of a Regular Council Meeting for a two (2) minute presentation.

SUMMARY:Remembrance Day: Sackville
DESCRIPTION:As Remembrance Day approaches\, residents across Tantramar remember and honour those who have served their country. \n\n\n\nOn November 11\, ceremonies provide an opportunity to gather as a community and reflect on the courage and service\, and often sacrifice\, made by those who serve their country\, from veterans\, to active military members\, and others who have contributed to Canada’s legacy of service. \n\n\n\n— \n\n\n\nThe Sackville Remembrance Day observance will begin with participants gathering outside the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26\, around 9:30am. A parade will then march to Convocation Hall between 9:30am and 9:40am\, arriving for the Remembrance Day service which begins at 10am.  \n\n\n\nFollowing the service\, participants will form up outside Convocational Hall and march to the Sackville Cenotaph between 10:45 and 10:50am. This will include singing of O Canada\, the reading of the Honour Roll\, the surrounding of the Last Post\, a two-minute silence\, and Reveille.  \n\n\n\nRemarks will be delivered and wreaths and crosses laid by community organizations and dignitaries in remembrance of those who served. Members of the public will also be invited to place wreaths and crosses.  \n\n\n\nFollowing the Cenotaph ceremony\, participants will march back to the Legion for the traditional “Stand To” gathering. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

The service is organized by the Dorchester IODE Shepody Chapter.  \n\n\n\nWeather permitting\, a parade will be held before the ceremony. Serving and retired military members\, RCMP\, EMS\, Dorchester Fire Department\, Canadian Correctional Service\, Dorchester Explorers\, and distinguished guests will assemble at the new fire hall at 10:30am\, then march to the Cenotaph. Parking is available at the new fire hall during this time.  \n\n\n\nThe Remembrance Day service will honour those who served and sacrificed for Canada. Wreaths and crosses ordered through the Legion will be placed at the Cenotaph as part of the ceremony.  \n\n\n\nFollowing the service\, attendees are invited to a reception at the DVCC (4955 Main Street)
