On today’s show, we meet Mount Allison’s new head football coach, Scott Brady, who also happens to be a former Mountie football player and coach. Brady returns to Mount Allison after seven years at McMaster University in Hamilton, where he worked as assistant coach and defensive coordinator. Brady says his young family was one of the main reasons he wanted to return to Sackville, but also that he has fond memories of his time in Sackville as a student and coach. “There really is something special here,” says Brady. “The strength of Mount Allison is really our people… There’s just incredible people here.”

Plus in news briefs:

  • The municipality of Tantramar is hosting its first community-wide yard sale on May 31, and the deadline for participants to be included on the map is coming up on May 19.
