These tours will be ongoing daily throughout the summer. They start at the Sackville Visitor Information Centre (34 Mallard Drive) and run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Grab your sunscreen and your enthusiasm to make the most out of the heart of the marshes.
Tantramar Active Living and Culture is bringing the fun to you this summer! Tantramar Pop-Ups is a series of drop-in day programs for kids and youth happening in communities across the municipality. From Midgic to Rockport, ALC will be popping up in different locations for a day full of organized games and activities designed to bring people together, try something new, and have fun. This series is designed for kids ages 6-15 and takes place from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. For July, the first Tantramar Pop-Up will be on July 30th at the Rockport Community Hall. Registration is required and can be done through www.TantramarNB.com/programs.
Summer is better with a barbecue! Join Active Living and Culture at the Visitor Information Centre on 34 Mallard Drive for Summer Barbeques. These are free lunches with great conversation and a chance to connect with the community. They will be held on the last Thursday of the month. For June, the first VIC barbeque will be on June 25th, and in July on the 30th. They will take place from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Bring your appetite and a friend!
If you're looking for a low-stakes community environment to enjoy some treats and warm beverages, then Nursing Home Without Walls Tantramar is excited to announce their weekly Tea & Talks. These events invite those 60+ to visit Cafe Tintamarre on 34 Mallard Drive for a calm, refreshing snack in the afternoon. Tea & Talks are every Thursday and can be expected to start July 23rd. Outside and indoors seating are available for everyone who visits between 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM.
Head over to the Boultenhouse Museum on July 30th at 6pm for a cozy evening of birdhouse painting! At the end of the night, you'll even get to bring your birdhouse home. Admission is by donation and all ages are welcome!

From Friday July 31st to Sunday August 2nd at 12-7pm, Struts Gallery is happy to present L'Ambiance, a series of artist projects running contemporaneous to everyone's favorite music festival, Sappyfest. LâAmbiance includes work by artists Teagan and Jacob and Annie France NoĂ«l. Teagan and Jacob will be presenting Porta-Confessional, a participatory, ephemeral sculptural installation which takes the form of a confessional, constructed as twinned (non-functioning, replica) Porta-Potties. Within this playful, secularized confessional, Sappyfest attendees of all ages are invited into a moment of contemplative reprieve. Annie France NoĂ«l will create a hybrid space where installation, performance, and encounters with the public co-exist in relation to her work with sheepâs wool and its various stages of transformation (from raw fleece to weavable thread). Join Tantramar Active Living and Culture for a free, fun, and inclusive wheelchair pickleball session designed especially for current pickleball players looking for a new challenge. Experience the strategy, skill, and excitement of wheelchair pickleball while learning how the sport brings players of all abilities together. Thanks to the generous support of Para NB, sport wheelchairs will be available for participants to use. No experience or registration is neededâjust bring your paddle (or borrow one) and discover a new side of the game while supporting accessible and inclusive recreation in our community. Wheelchair Pickleball will take place on Friday, July 31st from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. You can find it at the Bill Johnstone Memorial Park Pickleball Courts.

Calling all fun enthusiasts to the inaugural Sappy Sack Track! Arrive bearing decorated pillow cases, burlap sacks, and a winning smile to participate, promises to be a thrilling race. Mysterious judges will nominate the most beautiful sack for the prestigious Best Sack Design award! The Most Creative Cheer determined! A Sappyfest Sack Race Champion will be discovered! Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make your mark â literally! In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your own original design or choose from a selection of fun, simple shapes. From there, you'll learn how to transfer your image onto a rubber block, carve it out, and print it onto paper. All skill levels are invited and the workshop is designed for ages 10 and up. This workshop takes place on the first Saturday of every month, with the first workshop being June 6th. They take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 131 B Main Street, Sackville. Spaces are limited to 6 participants and registration is $80 per person.
