On today’s show, we head up to shores of the Northumberland Strait to see how the volunteers with the Cape Tormentine Community Development Corporation are faring with renovations to their campground store, which will have a its grand re-opening event–including an open market and open mic–this Friday. The new ‘old time’ look for the store includes the return of an antique oak store counter that spent decades at the Cackling Goose in Sackville, which appears to have originated at the old Chapman store in Bayfield, just down the road from the campground.

- The municipality of Tantramar lowered its flags to half-mast yesterday to honour the memory of former Sackville mayor Robert “Bob” Berry, who passed away on May 16.
- The Dorchester Farmers Market is returning on June 1st and will take place every Sunday from 11am-3pm at the Dorchester Veterans Community Centre.
- Someone broke into a Tantramar Outdoor Club storage shed on the club’s Walker Road trails and stole a new black utility trailer that the club had recently purchased to assist volunteers with trail construction and maintenance.
