On today’s show, we talk with Tantramar Regional High School student Josh Mullen, who has secured $30,000 in funding to install a solar panel array at his school. Mullen says a tip for a friend and TRHS alumni led him to apply for funding for the project. He also says he’s hoping some TRHS students will get the experience of participating in the installation of the new solar panels when the time comes.
Plus, Tantramar council has approved spending $5.6 million to construct a new Dorchester Fire Hall. The contract will go to RICE Contracting, and will cost at least $1.3 million more than the expected budget.
