As a journalist for CHMA, you will work to generate news stories on issues and activities that arise from local institutions and governments within the North Cumberland and Westmorland counties, including issues relating to local governments and institutions, Indigenous groups, climate change, poverty and economic development as well as cultural activities such as art galleries, theatre groups, music festivals and other special interests groups. We&#8217;re open to remote\/work from home accommodations with interactions and engagement through our Slack group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a part-time position at $24\/hr for a 10-15 hour work week. Availability on some evenings\/weekends\/holidays in coordination with the 2nd journalist is important.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create original civic journalism and news that meets the diverse needs of the<br \/>underserved communities of Westmoreland and Cumberland counties, NB &amp; NS.<\/li>\n<li>Produce local content\/original news articles\/programs\/interviews each week and<br \/>compiling\/writing news for reading on-air and contribute to CHMA\u2019s Community News<br \/>Program.
