It was the second busiest week for the vaccine rollout so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lion\u2019s share, about 55,000, were second doses, and about 11,000 were first doses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The province also received a supply of nearly 110,000 additional doses of vaccine this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearly 68% of the New Brunswick population now has at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly 17% of the full population have received two doses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next goal in the province\u2019s path to green plan, which promises an end to all public health restrictions, is to get to 75% of eligible New Brunswickers having had two shots. As of Sunday, the province is at 18.75% of those aged 12 and over having had two shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>VACCINATION STATS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>At least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine<\/strong><ul><li>528,815 people<\/li><li>67.7% of the population<\/li><li>76.3% of the population 12 and over<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine:<\/strong><ul><li>129,971 people<\/li><li>16.6% of the population<\/li><li>18.75% of the population 12 and over<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>COVID CASE UPDATE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were two new case of COVID-19 in the province reported Sunday. Both are in the Fredericton region and have been traced to previous cases. There are now 56 active cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zone one has just 3 active cases of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Nova Scotia, there were two new cases of COVID-19 reported on Sunday, and the total number of active cases in that province is 83. There are no active cases in the Cumberland Health Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PEI is holding fast to its streak of no new cases since June 3. There are no active cases on the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newfoundland did not report on cases over the weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just over 66,000 doses of a COVID 19 vaccine were administered in New Brunswick in the past week.
