Struts and Faucet is bringing back an annual program that has been sorely missed by its members throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Living is Easy is usually a summer-long program that invites all members into its three-room gallery to use it as a studio and display space for their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists of all ages and experience levels can participate, as it’s meant to boost their practice by providing them with a space and the tools they might not normally have access to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Living is Easy started later than usual due to COVID-19, a switch in directors, and Sappyfest\u2019s 24-hour livestream taking up their time and energy, but Struts\u2019 Web and Program Administrator Izzy Francolini says they are just as excited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re actually doing the opening for the first show this Friday [August 6] at the barbecue, and kind of doing it in conjunction,” says Francolini. “That way people can wander through the space, but also then step out and participate in the fundraising barbecue, but also then talk to the artists who are present and discuss the work and actually get to kind of hang out and have that same community feel without the fear of being too cramped into the gallery space.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
