A will have a phased approach to reopening focusing on employees and students. For the foreseeable future, campus will remain closed to other visitors, says Boudreau.

The first group to have the option to return to campus will be researchers who require the use of on-campus facilities. Faculty members and others involved in research or creative enterprise, as well as students doing research related to their own academic program requirements, could return by May 25th.

Boudreau says other employees now working remotely from home are requested to continue to do so for now.

This fall, Mount Allison is planning to offer a blend of on-campus classes and online or alternate delivery. Classrooms, labs, and studios will undergo a number of adjustments consistent with public health guidelines, says Boudreau.

Additional planning is underway, and Boudreau says more information on fall term will be released by June 1.

_____

The Department of Health issued a boil water advisory for Campbelton on Monday. A notice on the city’s Facebook page says the order is due to high turbidity levels.

Turbidity is a measure of the clarity or murkiness of water, and can be related to colour or levels of suspended particles in water.

The advisory says that all water for drinking, cooking or teeth brushing needs to be held at a rolling boil for 1 minute before using. The water is safe for other uses, like handwashing and showering.

The public health notice clearly states that the boil water advisory is not related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

____

That was the CHMA daily news roundup.

Are there stories you’d like to hear told on your local airwaves?
