March 14, 2023<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Service NB\u2019s property online system, the tax levy for the Aulac Big Stop, not including the truck stop area next door, was just over $82,000 this year.\u00a0 But in 2020, the tax levy for the same property was just over $85,000.\u00a0 That\u2019s because the\u00a0 assessment on the property took a dip in 2021, knocking about 10% off the Big Stop\u2019s tax bill that year.\u00a0 The assessment went back up in 2022, but actual taxes due have not returned to previous levels, likely due to spike protection, which limits annual tax increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Aulac-Big-Stop-PAOL-2023-03-14-at-9.36.48-PM-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30149\" width=\"708\" height=\"648\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Aulac-Big-Stop-PAOL-2023-03-14-at-9.36.48-PM-1.png 1280w, https:\/\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Aulac-Big-Stop-PAOL-2023-03-14-at-9.36.48-PM-1-768x703.png 768w\" \/><figcaption>Properties highlighted in red and green were included in Irving&#8217;s internal land sale.
