R-C-M-P in New Brunswick say a 42-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into 3-D printed firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say officers received a report on Thursday of a person who was allegedly manufacturing and selling 3-D printed guns at their home on Route 130, in Aroostook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say they executed two search warrants and found a number of items, including a 3-D printed gun, ammunition, numerous gun parts, a 3-D printer, ammunition manufacturing components, prohibited magazines and electronic devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say they believe some of these items may be related to other ongoing investigations in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police say they shot and killed three dogs that were attacking a woman inside her Halifax home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Halifax Regional Police say officers responded to a call that three large dogs were attacking a woman on Frederick Avenue yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers entered the residence, and while attempting to save the woman, police say the dogs turned on them and one of the officers shot and killed the three dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries from the attack that are not considered life-threatening, and the officers were not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(OBIT-PEI-Andrews)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hockey community and P-E-I\u2019s premier are paying tribute following the death of Allan Andrews, founder of a renowned hockey school on the Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R-C-M-P confirmed yesterday that the 83-year-old Andrews was found dead after he was reported missing in the Canoe Cove area on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, Hockey P-E-I called Andrews a \u201crevered figure\u201d in the hockey community, while Premier Dennis King also issued a statement saying Andrews dedication to \u201cfostering skill, discipline and sportsmanship\u201d created a lasting legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andrews was awarded the Order of Canada in 2017 and was inducted into the P-E-I Sports Hall of Fame in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R-C-M-P in Nova Scotia say they’re investigating reports of shots fired between two cars in East Preston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say around 1 p-m Monday they responded to a report of shots fired on Bell Street, and when officers arrived at the scene both vehicles had already fled the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were no injuries reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man said to have created Newfoundland\u2019s Screech-in ceremony has died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Myrle Vokey died on Saturday at the age of 85.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Bell Island, Vokey worked for the province\u2019s teachers\u2019 and school board associations, and he was president of the national and provincial Red Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vokey is said to have come up with the Screech-in ceremony while he was attending Atlantic teachers\u2019 conferences and looking for a traditional fishermen ceremony that would welcome outsiders as honorary Newfoundlanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation has released its first-quarter financial results showing sales up 1.5 per cent to 222.5 million dollars for the period April 1st to June 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The corporation says beverage alcohol sales increased 0.7 per cent to 191.3 million, and cannabis sales increased 7.3 per cent to 31.2 million dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, overall earnings decreased 0.5 per cent to 70.4 million dollars<\/p>\n\n\n\n
