(NB-Vehicle-Fatal) A 66-year-old New Brunswick man has died following a crash with a transport truck in Woodside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R-C-M-P say officers responded to a collision between the car and transport truck on Highway 15 Saturday afternoon, and the car’s sole occupant died at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transport truck’s driver sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police believe the collision occurred when the car, travelling southbound, crossed the centre line and collided head-on with the transport truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R-C-M-P in New Brunswick say they played a major role in rescuing two young children in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In November, the police force’s internet child exploitation unit discovered media involving allegedly exploiting children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That discovery led to U-S authorities executing a search warrant at a home, where they found two kids under the age of eight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A woman has been arrested, but authorities didn’t release more details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

R-C-M-P in Nova Scotia say six women have now died as a result of intimate-partner violence in the province over the past three months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The latest victim is a 22-year-old woman who was found inside a burning home in the Annapolis Valley over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her identity has not been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 28-year-old is in custody and has been charged with murder and arson with disregard for human life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The founder of the Trinity Hall venue and recording studio in Winterton, Newfoundland, has lost his family home in the raging California wildfires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Facebook post on the Trinity Hall page says Greg Wells is safe, but the Los Angeles home belonging to him and his family, along with his studio, were destroyed by the fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wells produced the music in the movie Wicked, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He bought a church in Winterton in 2022, and turned it into Trinity Hall, where he records music, hosts concerts and holds workshops. (The Canadian Press\/CBC News)

U-Haul says Newfoundland and Labrador was the third most-popular destination among the provinces for its one-way customers in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
