We know we need to be doing everything we can to keep all community members as safe as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the campaign\u2019s most successful fundraisers has been the sale of reusable face masks in both Mount Allison and Shinerama colours. Jacobson\u2019s mother, Cathy Baillie (also a Mount A grad from the class of \u201991) has made over 700 masks with more than 200 for the Mount Allison campaign to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are available for purchase by e-mailing shinerama@mta.ca or at Tidewater Books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also on tap for Saturday, a bottle drive (bring refundable to the Landsdowne parking lot from 10am to 4pm), a Shine beer in collaboration with Sackville\u2019s Bagtown Brewery, and a Shine shirt for sale with all proceeds going to the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mount Allison\u2019s team is continuing an award-winning tradition. The student group received Cystic Fibrosis Canada\u2019s Community Event Champion \u2013 a regional fund raising Award for this year. The Mount Allison team also Best Overall Campaign in 2019 \u2014 the third year in a row and fifth time in the past 11 years that they have received the national honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shinerama events and campaigns have been held for 46 years at Mount Allison, raising nearly $700,000 for cystic fibrosis treatment and care through Cystic Fibrosis Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/742523309860251\/?active_tab=discussion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here for the Shinerama Facebook event page. <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Saturday, September 12th is Shine Day.
