The 196 initiatives focus on environmental protection, raising environmental awareness, waste management, addressing climate change and building sustainable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Environment and Climate Change Minister Gilles LePage says these projects will help protect, preserve and enhance the province’s natural environment for the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NB-Fatal-Crash)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say a 38-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash northwest of Fredericton on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers were called in to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 107 in Juniper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police believe the crash occurred when the vehicle failed to navigate a turn during the early morning hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle didn’t survive their injuries and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. (The Canadian Press)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NB-Power-Outages)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Power has been restored to most parts of New Brunswick following a weekend wind storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the height of the storm, more than 58-thousand homes and businesses were without power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
N-B Power says the number of outages has been reduced to about 200, most of them along the Acadian Peninsula and in the Fredericton area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Northwest gusts in Bathurst reached over 100 kilometres per hour on Sunday, and over 80 in Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NL-Arts-Infrastructure-Fund)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government of Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting applications for this year’s arts infrastructure and programming fund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arts organizations can apply for infrastructure updates that support artistic creation and presentation, as well as accessibility improvements for venues and facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NS-Bio-Funding)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nova Scotia government is providing five million dollars in funding for a new bio-innovation centre in Dartmouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funding is to help transform the nearly five-thousand square metre facility into new wet and dry labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Neptune BioInnovation Centre\u2019s aim is to foster biotechnology advancements across critical sectors, including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, forestry and agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growth and Development Minister Colton LeBlance says the centre\u2019s work will help commercialize clean technologies for a more sustainable and prosperous future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
