Environment Canada says Hurricane Erin is on track to bring huge waves to Eastern Canadian waters and south-facing Atlantic coastlines of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It says they don’t expect the hurricane to make landfall except cause ocean swells on Friday and Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the weather agency warns the storm could create hazardous surf conditions including rip currents \u2014 especially along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Atl-Wildfires)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The largest wildfire in Nova Scotia continues to burn out of control in the Annapolis Valley, but it did not grow overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nova Scotia’s Department of Natural Resources says that’s thanks to some rain that fell on Sunday night, but the province says conditions have dried up since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scott Tingley with the Natural Resources Department says the Long Lake wildfire in the Annapolis Valley is composed of a series of fires that cover roughly 32 square kilometres of land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tingley says firefighters are focusing efforts on the northern side of the wildfire that is closest to homes near West Dalhousie, though he did not say how many homes are threatened. (The Canadian Press)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finance Minister Ren\u00e9 Legacy says the U.S. tariffs imposed on some Canadian goods are negatively affecting the province’s economic outlook, but added that the effects are still unclear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He says the government is also keeping a close eye on how much weather events, such as wildfires, will cost the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NB-Crash-Fatality)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police in New Brunswick say a 60-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 112 in Upper Coverdale on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say they believe the crash happened when the vehicle went off the road, fell in a ditch, hit a culvert, causing it to roll over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police in Halifax are asking the public’s help in finding a man allegedly involved in a crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say officers were called to a single-vehicle crash in the 200 block of Lake Major Road in the early hours of Saturday where they say they learned that the driver of a speeding Pontiac Grand Prix lost control and hit a power pole, severing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say the driver then hit the back of a parked dump truck before striking another power pole, which caught on fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police in Prince Edward Island say they issued a terrorism peace bond to a 50-year-old man for allegedly 3D-printing firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police say officers received information about alleged threats made by the man against people and organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They say he was arrested at his home, where parts for 3-D printed firearms were allegedly seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
