New Brunswick’s council on disabilities has appointed six new members and re-appointed five people to its board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A release from the province says Nick Taggart of Hanwell will serve as chair for a term of two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taggart says he is eager to continue working alongside the returning members of the council, while welcoming in his new colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NS-Hospital-Assault)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nova Scotia R-C-M-P say a doctor who previously practised at a hospital in Upper Nappan has been charged with sexual assault after an alleged incident at an emergency room in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say they received a report in May of an alleged sexual assault involving a doctor during an assessment at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, near Amherst, about 140 kilometres north of Halifax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mounties believe there are additional victims in Nova Scotia and there may also be victims in Quebec and New Brunswick where the doctor also practised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The doctor was released on conditions after his arrest and police say his first court appearance is scheduled for November 15th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NL-Wildfires)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Newfoundland and Labrador’s Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture Department says the Kingston wildfire is still active, but has not grown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The department says recent weather has supported efforts to suppress the fire, while clear skies are promoting a full aerial attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fire crews from Ontario are helping beat the blaze back, working from the northern and southern borders of the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NL-Water-Dry)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The community of Sunnyside, Newfoundland, saw its water supply temporarily run empty over the weekend as dry conditions prompted several towns to restrict water use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Roger Snook says the taps went dry on Saturday after the town’s water reservoir ran empty \u2014 with himself and four volunteers spending the following day pumping water into the reservoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Town of Bonavista also banned any non-essential water use \u2014 warning over social media that the community’s water supply was running dangerously low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(PEI-Cancer-Drugs-Formulary)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prince Edward Island has expanded its drug-coverage program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The province has added 18 new medications covered by pharmacare and the cancer treatment centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The medications treat six different types of cancer and other illnesses including cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and skin disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
