New Brunswick is putting 1.47-million dollars over three years into community lung-care programs aimed at reducing hospital visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The clinics will be run by the New Brunswick Community College and Coll\u00e8ge communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will offer supervised rehab and education for clients, while also helping develop exercise plans for people with chronic lung conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students help deliver care under clinicians, giving them hands-on training while expanding access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Black N-H-L player from Nova Scotia \u2014 and just the third Black player in league history \u2014 has died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The N-H-L Alumni association says Bill Riley, from Amherst, Nova Scotia, died Sunday at the age of 75.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He played his first N-H-L game for the Washington Capitals in 1975.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Famer played 125 games with the team before joining the expansion Winnipeg Jets in the 1979-80 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equinor says its Bay du Nord offshore oil project off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador has not yet cleared an internal decision on the way to final approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An Equinor spokesperson says Bay du Nord is progressing through its internal processes but the project has not yet passed what the company calls \u201cdecision gate two.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The comments appear to contradict Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Tony Wakeham, who told C-B-C News that Bay du Nord had cleared the hurdle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Equinor says it is the final internal milestone for the project before the company decides next year whether to proceed or not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(PEI-Utility-Poles-Struck)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police in Summerside, P-E-I say a driver is facing impaired charges after hitting two utility poles Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers found the damaged vehicle on Granville Street, after a 9-1-1 call reported the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Investigators later learned the same vehicle also knocked down a pole on Foundry Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver failed a roadside test, was arrested and is due in court at a later date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(NL-Vehicles-Seized)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R-C-M-P in Newfoundland and Labrador say they seized two vehicles over the weekend involving suspended drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Victoria, a 38-year-old man was stopped without valid registration, insurance or a licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Dover, a 42-year-old man was pulled over and charged with driving while disqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say both vehicles were impounded and are reminding drivers to carry all valid documents when travelling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
