Roness waited overnight in a reclining chair in the hall but never saw a doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Listen to the audio below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/APRIL-16-smh-foundation-no-brief-.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning, they got a taxi to the Sackville Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the waiting room, the bleeding started again. But this time, it wasn\u2019t long before she was shown into a room to meet with emergency department physician Dr. Bruno Chiasson. And there was even a meal waiting for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u200aI didn&#8217;t even ask. It was there. They just brought it,\u201d said Roness. \u201cThe care was phenomenal. Bruno was great. I had seen him a few times in emergency but this time I got to see the warmth. It gives people comfort.
