Harbour Grace R-C-M-P have charged Patrick Turpin with impaired driving following a March hit-and-run collision in Old Perlican. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say a pickup truck struck the deck of a home on Circular Avenue before leaving the scene, causing extensive damage to the wooden structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Investigators later found Turpin seriously injured and unresponsive inside a heavily damaged vehicle, and subsequent toxicology results indicated his blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is set to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on August 5th to face impaired driving charges, and his driver’s licence has been suspended. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
