She visited the sandpipers before Saturday\u2019s Jailbird Run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI absolutely loved this morning. Before the Jailbird Run started, I went down and I looked actually at all the sandpipers and watching them fly around was so surreal,\u201d said Doukas, \u201cI&#8217;ve never seen so many birds all in one place, so it was really cool to see.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Semipalmated sandpipers breed in Arctic and subarctic Canada before travelling south.
