Zone 1 has moved to the Red phase of COVID-19 restrictions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is what you need to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your close contacts must be limited to a single household, which includes the people you live with. Where required, a single household bubble can be extended to include one other person or caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Masks remain mandatory in all indoor public spaces. Masks must be worn outdoors if social distancing cannot be maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daycares remain open with appropriate guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schools remain open with enhanced health and safety measures including:
Students and staff stay home if they have even one symptom of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School staff are actively screened for COVID-19 when they report to work each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a positive case of COVID-19 is confirmed at a school in the Red level, the school will be closed for a minimum of three days to allow for contact tracing. The school would also become a testing site for school staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Post-secondary education can continue to operate in-person for all practical programs but only virtually in areas where it is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Restaurants can only do take-out, drive-thru, or delivery. If you use a drive-thru, you must be wearing a mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Barbers, hair stylists, and salons must close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gym and fitness facilities are closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Public spaces such as casinos, amusement centres, bingo halls, arcades, cinemas and large live performance venues are closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All other businesses and public services, including retail, can operate under a COVID-19 operational plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only travel in and out of Red level zones for necessary reasons. This includes work, school, essential errands, childcare, and medical appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you carpool with others for work, school, medical appointments, or to access essential services such as groceries is permitted. You must wear a mask the whole time. If you can, have people outside your bubble sit in the backseat rather than next to you. Do not commute together if one of you has any COVID-19 symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outdoor gatherings with physical distancing of 5 people or less are allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Religious services can only happen if they are outdoor or drive in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Non-urgent medical procedures and elective surgeries are postponed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expect strict visitor restrictions in health and long-term care facilities and similar vulnerable settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can still meet with your doctor, but you should meet virtually whenever you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
