Sackville newcomers Dave Dyment and Roula Partheniou have tag-teamed the director position for Struts Gallery and Faucet Media Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were handed the keys to the bright yellow gallery space on the now infamous March 13th, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The keys were used to immediately lock the doors for COVID-19 lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave Dyment, co-director, says he and Partheniou considered Struts to be a \u201cwell-oiled machine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They did not anticipate nearly all of the artist run center\u2019s programming being impossible during a global pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of artist residencies, summer barbeques, the Handmade assembly, Sweetest Little Thing, and exhibitions, Dyment and Partheniou had to come up with some new ways for Struts to engage with the local art community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
