Mount Allison University held its annual Night of the Mounties this week, recognizing top student-athletes for performance, academics and leadership across its varsity programs.
This year’s awards included strong representation from across New Brunswick, with honourees from Moncton, Woodstock and Sackville.
Basketball players Jonas Munroe and Danielle Alexander were named male and female athletes of the year, highlighting standout seasons on the court.
Sackville’s Jack Arsenault received the men’s scholar athlete award, recognizing excellence both academically and athletically. The women’s scholar athlete award went to Tallulah MacNeil, a badminton athlete from Halifax.
Beyond athletic performance, the event also recognized contributions in leadership, sportsmanship and volunteer support within the university’s athletics program.
The awards reflect Mount Allison’s continued reliance on regional talent, with athletes from New Brunswick and the Maritimes playing a visible role across multiple teams.
