On today’s show, about 75 area residents gathered for another community health care meeting organized by Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton on Tuesday, featuring senior staff from the Horizon Health Network. Residents heard about progress with the Tantramar Primary Care Health Centre, including plans to clear the NB Health Link patient list for the region by January. But Horizon officials also shared that there is currently no timeline to restore service hours to the Sackville Memorial Hospital emergency department.

Plus in briefs:

  • The RCMP say they have identified the person suspected to be involved in an assault with a weapon incident in Sackville on Sunday afternoon.
  • Backyard Histories author and storyteller Andrew MacLean is coming to Dorchester this Sunday to give a sneak peek from his upcoming book,  ‘The Cow, The Well, and the Lost Treasure of Jolicure,’ in advance of the Westmorland Historical Society Annual General Meeting.
