The Memramcook collaborative care clinic is being expanded after a $1.1 million investment from the provincial government.
That’s according to a Sept. 21 release from the government, which said the funding allowed for an expansion of the clinic’s space, as well as the addition of a phlebotomist and a licensed practical nurse.
In addition, the clinic team already included three primary care providers, a registered nurse, a social worker and two administrative assistants.
There are ongoing plans to recruit another physician to the clinic, which cares for around 3,700 patients, including 123 patients who had been on the NB Health-Link waitlist since February 2024. There are plans to continue building on the team, with efforts ongoing to recruit another physician.
The Memramcook clinic was the 17th collaborative care clinic announced by the government since it announced 11 such clinics in 2025.
