An upcoming trade-show style event aims to put the spotlight on programs and services for Tantramar’s aging population.
Set for Thursday, Oct. 1, the Spotlight on Seniors event is being organized by the recently-formed Age Friendly Tantramar steering committee, who has already lined up more than 20 organizations for the day. The event is expected to provide information on a variety of topics that can impact the lives of older adults – from health and nutrition, to fitness and recreation, to home care and housing, and more. There will also be several presentations from a number of groups.
The event is scheduled from 11 am to 3 pm at the Church by the Lake in Middle Sackville. For residents who’d like to attend, but don’t have a way to get there, there will be bus transportation from Rose’s Independent Grocer on Main Street in downtown Sackville at 10:45 am with a return ride at 1 pm.
