The provincial government has confirmed a new minimum wage increase for workers across New Brunswick. Beginning April 1, 2026, the minimum hourly rate will rise from its current level to $15.90 per hour.
Officials say the adjustment is designed to help workers cope with rising living costs and ensure wages more closely reflect economic conditions in the province. The move follows consultations with business groups, labour advocates and economic advisors.
Employers are being advised to update payroll systems and communicate the change to staff before the April implementation.
