  • Owens Art Gallery – Gathering Exhibition – Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, May 31
The Owens Art Gallery’s main floor is now home to Gathering, an exhibition on view from March 14 to May 31 that brings together recent abstract paintings by Nancy Stevens with historic graduate self-portraits from the Owens archive. Organized in conjunction with the 70th reunion of Stevens’ graduating class, the exhibition places her vibrant geometric abstractions alongside self-portraits by Mount Allison Fine Arts students from the Classes of 1951, 1956, and 1961. Seen together, the works trace a rich history of art-making at Mount Allison and invite visitors to reflect on identity, place, and the lifelong practice of making art.
  • Last(ing) Impressions: Fine Arts Graduate Exhibition 2026 – Saturday, March 21 to Tuesday, May 12
Also opening at the Owens Art Gallery is Last(ing) Impressions: Fine Arts Graduate Exhibition 2026, on view in the 2nd floor gallery from March 21 to May 12. This annual exhibition showcases new work by graduating students from the Pierre Lassonde School of Fine Arts and highlights the range of media, ideas, and approaches developed during their time at Mount Allison. From painting and printmaking to sculpture, installation, photography, and hybrid practices, the show offers a chance to see the work of emerging artists at an exciting moment of transition.
  • Greenslades: Mike Trask / Sam Salmon – Saturday, March 21 – Saturday, March 21
Greenslades hosts a special seated show with Mike Trask and Sam Salmon on Saturday, March 21 at 16 Charles Street, Sackville, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. and music starting at 7:30 p.m. Mike Trask brings his gravelly voice and East Coast blend of country, blues, and folk, while Sam Salmon’s set will feature a stripped-back lineup with singer-guitarist Brydon Crain and Keith Hallett on lap steel, spotlighting songs from Down For Life. Tickets are $22 and available in advance through Greenslades.
  • Rueda de Casino – Monday, March 23
Rueda de Casino is a fun social Cuban circle dance with upbeat music and lots of laughter, running Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Sackville Curling Club. No partner or prior dance experience is required, and the group restarts from the beginning when new dancers join, making it a good time for newcomers to try it. The atmosphere is friendly and energetic with no pressure to be good at dancing, and a mix of skill levels helps people learn quickly. The cost is typically about $5-$6 per night, based on attendance, paid in blocks to cover rental costs.
  • Winter Ultimate Frisbee – Tuesday, March 24
Winter Ultimate Frisbee is back at Church by the Lake, with indoor games on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24. The league offers a way to stay active through the winter in a friendly setting, with a $25 registration fee that goes toward the gym rental fee. Spots can be reserved through www.tantramarnb.com/active-living-culture.
