Mount Allison to play host to National Music Festival sessions

Community members are invited to attend sessions at the 55th National Music Festival, which gets under way this weekend at Mount Allison University in Sackville.

Organized by the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals, the sessions throughout the five-day event at Mount Allison include two days of emerging artist performances, an adjudicator showcase performance and the grand award competition. FCMF also offers masterclass workshops and career development sessions for competitors.

The adjudicator panel for the emerging artist stream competition in Sackville on July 26 and 27 includes: Colin Ainsworth, voice; Edmund Dawe, piano; Mary-Elizabeth Brown, strings; Eugene Cormier, classical guitar; Peter Stoll, woodwinds; Richard Stoelzel, brass; and Marcus Nance, musical theatre.

The competitor performance schedule, general schedule, and ticket order form can be found at https://fcmf.org/national-music-festival-2026/
