The New Brunswick Health Council is asking eligible patients to share their experiences to assess the quality of care received in the province.
The 2026 Hospital Acute Care Survey is meant to provide data for hospitals and decision-makers to identify areas for improvement.
Conducted every three years, responses are collected from New Brunswick residents aged 18 and over who had at least one overnight stay in a New Brunswick hospital for medical, surgical or maternity care. This year, patients who received care between April and July 2026 are eligible. Those patients should have received a confidential paper survey by mail after they were discharged from hospital.
There is also an online version of the survey available. Those who have not completed the survey will receive a postcard and second survey package in the mail.
