As Tantramar works toward becoming an age-friendly community, the steering committee who is working to make that happen is hoping to get more feedback from area residents.
The committee has had approximately 40 responses to its age-friendly survey to date, but is looking to have an even wider reach. Results will be used to help the committee understand residents’ experiences of aging in Tantramar, to gather people’s needs and opinions, and to determine next steps for how to make the community more age-friendly for seniors and future seniors.
The survey, open to all adults who live in the Tantramar region, takes about 20 minutes to complete. There are prizes for those who participate and enter the draw.
To help collect more input, members of the Age-Friendly Tantramar committee will be outside of the Sackville Foodland on Monday, September 14 from 1-4 pm and in front of Rose’s Independent Grocer on Monday, September 28 from 1-4 pm to answer any questions, gather feedback, or assist residents with accessing or completing the survey. They will also be at the Sackville Farmer’s Market on Saturday, September 19.
The survey is available online at tinyurl.com/age-friendly-survey or paper copies can be picked up at the local libraries or the Tantramar municipal office.
