CHMA, in partnership with Enactus, is very excited to announce that we are offering a paid internship for returning students of Mount Allison University to work with us as a Fundraising and Development Intern for the summer of 2021. CHMA plays an essential role in local news and independent culture at Mount Allison University and in the Sackville Area. Enactus Mount Allison is a student-led group that creates economical, environmental, and social impact to better our community through entrepreneurial initiatives to create sustainable futures.
We are offering this internship to help gain exciting, hands-on, real-world experience working in the operations of a non-profit arts organization. No experience is necessary but we seek candidates with qualifications and knowledge to contribute specifically to the further diversification of our campus and community.
The successful applicant will work with CHMA staff to develop and strengthen our Monthly Sustainer and Sponsorship programs, to assist with membership and community outreach, grant research and writing, marketing and social media. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the business management of a nonprofit organization.
The candidates must be a resident of New Brunswick or a First Nation community in New Brunswick; eligible to work in Canada; not be an immediate family member (spouse, children, parent, brother or sister) of Attic Broadcasting Co. Ltd; a full-time student (high school – grade 12 only, university or college) in the current academic year (2020/2021) and, attending a post-secondary institution (university or college) full-time in the fall of 2021.
The position will be compensated $12/hr for a 35-hour working week for 12 weeks. The expected start date is May 3, 2021.
