The Dorchester Farmers Market launched in June and plans to run weekly through December, with a short break before starting again in January.
Vendors include local farmers, crafters, and artisans offering everything from produce and baked goods to handmade soaps and antiques. Organizers say the market is still new and relies heavily on community support to succeed.
On Sept 18th, the market will move into the basement of the Veterans Centre – a space with a commercial kitchen. Market manager Frank Vienneau says that move could open the door to hot meals and special suppers prepared by local vendors.
The market runs Thursdays in Dorchester and continues until December 18. It picks up again in January 2026.
