Spring is a great time for area residents to understand their flood risk and learn ways to protect their homes. Homeowners across southeastern New Brunswick who are concerned about flood risks can sign up for a Home Flood Protection Assessments through EOS Eco-Energy.
This free assessment takes about an hour and involves two qualified EOS staff surveying both the outside and inside of the home. All results are confidential and will not be shared with anyone other than the homeowner and EOS assessors.
Following the assessment, EOS will send a personalized report with a list of actionable items for improving your home’s flood protection. Participants are also eligible for $100 rebates to help cover flood mitigation expenses – such as a sump pump, caulking, dehumidifier, etc.
