The Greater Dorchester Moving Forward Cooperative is inviting residents to share a free meal and learn more about its work at its annual general meeting Thursday evening.
The event starts at 6 pm at 8 Station Road in Dorchester, with free poutine – including the tease of “deluxe toppings” served before the meeting gets underway.
Board member Gary Csöff says the AGM is also an opportunity for people to ask questions about the cooperative and find out how they can become involved.
“Whether you’re passionate about food, about trails, about joining things in the community for people of all ages, we’re a community-based organization that’s always trying to give back.” said Csöff.
Csöff says families are encouraged to attend, and childcare will be available during the event.
“We’re a family-based place where everyone’s welcome, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming a lot of new and familiar faces.” said Csöff.
Poutine will be served beginning at 6 pm, with the AGM starting shortly afterward.
