Chamber music and contemporary jazz trio Blackwood performs at Greenslades, 16 Charles Street in Sackville. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are 20 dollars, and the house show is BYOB.”

The Sackville Film Society is screening “Kiss of the Spider Woman” at the Amherst Theatre, 47 Church Street. The film starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are 12 dollars at the door, as part of the Society’s fall series of classic and international films. - Mount Allison Jazz Ensemble – Friday, November 21
The Mount Allison Jazz Ensemble performs at Brunton Auditorium, in the Marjorie Young Bell Conservatory of Music at 134 Main Street in Sackville. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, with donations at the door supporting student music scholarships.

Marshlight Theatre continues its run of “Small Things” by Daniel MacIvor. The play follows an unexpected friendship between two women who slowly learn to bridge their differences. Performances run November 21, 22 and 23 at Marshlight’s space in Sackville.

Come out for the annual independent market featuring handmade wares by regional and national artists and artisans curated from an open call for proposals happening at the Sackville Legion. Doors will be open from 10AM to 4PM. Participants include Andrea Thorne, Annette Martin, Anointment and Nourished Magnesium, Bay Town Creative, and many more. Presented by Struts Gallery. - Community info session on the 500 MW gas plant – Sunday, November 23
A public information session on the proposed 500 megawatt gas plant on the Chignecto Isthmus takes place Sunday, November 23 at Sackville United Church on Main Street. The session runs from 2 to 4 p.m., with organizers outlining environmental concerns and answering questions from residents. Everyone is welcome. - Winter wreath workshop at Bagtown Brewery – Thursday, November 27
The Little Plant Nursery is hosting a winter wreath making workshop at Bagtown Brewing Company. The workshop runs Thursday, November 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All materials are included and beginners are welcome.
