Mount Allison University is holding its 2026 Spring Convocation ceremonies today in Sackville, with about 500 students set to cross the stage to receive their degrees.

The university’s Convocation schedule began this morning with students in science, commerce, and interdisciplinary health studies gathering for procession at 8:30am at McCormack Gymnasium in the athletic centre. The morning ceremony began at 9:30am in Convocation Hall, for graduates receiving BSc, MSc, BComm, and BASc degrees.

The afternoon Convocation ceremony begins at 2:30pm, also in Convocation Hall, for students receiving Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees. Mount Allison says guests should go directly to Convocation Hall, while graduating students should gather first at the athletic centre for the procession.

This year’s ceremonies include several major milestones, including the first graduating class from Mount Allison’s Bachelor of Arts and Science in interdisciplinary health studies program.

The ceremonies follow a full Convocation weekend, with alumni reunions, student events, live performances, and community gatherings bringing graduates, families, and visitors to Sackville.
