A 40-year-old man from Point de Bute has died following a single-vehicle ATV crash in Midgic.

Listen to the story:

RCMP say members of the Sackville detachment responded to the crash at the intersection of Brooklyn Road and Goose Lake Road at around 6:40 am on Friday, May 15.

Police believe the driver was travelling southbound when the ATV failed to negotiate a turn at the intersection and struck a tree.

The driver was the only person on the ATV and died at the scene from his injuries.

The New Brunswick coroner, Sackville Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene.

RCMP say a collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
