On today’s show:

At a special meeting on Monday, Tantramar council approved hiring two Alberta-based consulting companies to do planning work for the municipality. In a tight 4-3 vote, council approved hiring RC Strategies for just over $50,000 to create a new five year Recreation Master Plan for the amalgamated municipality.

And in another tight vote, council approved re-hiring Strategic Steps Inc. for $15,000 to create a corporate plan – a document to outline how senior staff can implement the strategic plan developed by the same consultants last summer and fall.
