Atlantic Canadians woke up to yet more snow, as another nor’easter barrelled down on the region Monday and overnight.
Environment Canada put much of the Maritimes under winter storm and snowfall warnings, with up to 30 centimetres of snow expected for most of Nova Scotia, P-E-I and eastern New Brunswick.
Eastern Newfoundland has been hammered by back-to-back storms in the past week, which Environment Canada says together have dumped more than 110 centimetres of snow on the provincial capital.

(NB-Arson)
Police are searching for an S-U-V believed to be involved in an arson in Quispamsis (kwis-pam-SIS’).
Kennebecasis (KENN’-eh-beh-KAY’-sis) Regional Police were called to a fire at a building on Enterprise Drive, near Palmer Brook Road and Route 1.
There were no reports of injuries but police say the fire was deliberately set, damaging the inside of the building.
Police are looking for a 2006-2008 Ford Explorer, possibly an Eddie Bauer Edition, with a loud exhaust system. (The Canadian Press)

(NB-Sports-Centre-Renovations)
New Brunswick is investing 1.4-million dollars in renovations to the J. Docithe Nadeau Sports Centre in Haut-Madawaska.
The province says the project will involve replacing and modernizing the refrigeration system and bringing the building up to accessibility standards.
Environment Minister Gilles LePage says community sports centres are the heart of rural communities, and the renovation will ensure that the facility stays modern and efficient.

(NB-Diesel-Spill)
Some Fredericton residents are worried about the smell of diesel lingering near their homes after a fuel spill at a nearby construction site.
The City of Fredericton posted to social media over the weekend that the spill happened at a private construction site on Glengarry Place and Golf Club Road.
Officials said the spill is also impacting the city’s stormwater management system, but there is no risk to its drinking water.
The New Brunswick Environment Department is monitoring the cleanup efforts, which are expected to take several days.

(PEI-Carleton-Fatal)
A single-vehicle crash in western P-E-I has claimed the life of 38-year-old man.
R-C-M-P says the man was driving on Route 2 in Carleton on Monday morning when his vehicle veered off the road and rolled over.
Police did not identify the victim but they confirmed he was from Prince County.
He was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

(NL-Snowmobiler-Rescue)
A snowmobiler has been rescued after getting stranded in central Newfoundland’s backcountry.
The 66-year-old man contacted his family Saturday afternoon to tell them his machine was stuck in a wooded area near Mount Peyton Summit, and that he had no food or water supplies.
R-C-M-P were able to contact the man and obtain his G-P-S co-ordinates before several volunteers headed out on snowmobile to bring the man safely back to Bishop’s Falls.
Mounties urge snowmobilers to ensure they have an emergency kit with things like food and water, fire-making supplies, extra medications and warm dry clothing. (The Canadian Press)
