Tantramar to celebrate 12th annual Mountie Day

Tantramar is gearing up to celebrate Mountie Day, an annual tradition where the municipality recognizes the incredible contributions of Mount Allison’s student-athletes to both the university and the wider community.

The celebrations will happen this Thursday, March 26, kicking off with a flag raising ceremony at 12:30 pm at town hall, where municipal officials will also say a few words about this year’s student-athletes contributions both on and off the field and how they have made a lasting impact on their campus and community. There will also be cake.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the entire Tantramar community are invited to wear garnet and gold throughout the day on March 26 in support of the Mounties.

That same evening, the Night of the Mounties awards ceremony will take place, recognizing the achievements of student-athletes, including the prestigious male and female Athlete of the Year awards. Stay tuned for the official announcement of the winners on March 27.
