Conservation Council of New Brunswick to host info session on rising costs of electricity

The Conservation Council of New Brunswick is hosting a community session about electricity and rising energy costs in the province.

The free event is on Saturday, April 18, from 10:30 am to 1:15 pm at the Tire Shack Brewing Company in Moncton.

The event will feature a presentation by Moe Qureshi, a renewable energy expert, scientist and director of climate research and policy with CCNB. The presentation will be on the current state of energy in New Brunswick, summarizing the NB Power Comprehensive Review released last week, and other related topics. A question period will follow.

Then, after lunch, there will be a public sharing session where folks can share concerns and experiences, followed by community workshopping to identify gaps and areas for reform in New Brunswick’s electricity policy.
